Ink Mixing

Simply mix pigments into extender base – no special equipment required!! Save 40%!!

Mixing Instructions

  • Mix 3% pigment with Aquatex extender base for standard colours
  • Mix 15% fluorescent/rave pigment with Aquatex extender/base
  • Mix 6 – 10% pigment with Seika 120 base for gloss opaque colours
  • Mix 4% pigment with Colorbrite base for semimatt opaque colours
  • Mix 3% pigment with Pearl paint base for pearly metallic colours
  • Mix 6 – 10% pigment with Dyefoam 400 base for puff ink colours
  • 19 400g Aquatex extender base + 600g pigment = 20l ink
  • 6 500g Aquatex extender base + 200g pigment = 6.7l ink
  • 4 850g Aquatex extender base + 150g pigment = 5l ink
  • 970g Aquatex extender base + 30g pigment = 1l ink
  • Gold & Silver: Mix 9 parts of Seika 300 metallic medium with 1 part gold powder.
  • Thin with clean water if necessary.
  • Mix 19 parts Seika 300 metallic medium with 1 part silver powder.
  • Tie + Dye – 1 part fixative to 5 parts water, then add 3-5% pigment colour
