COATING INSTRUCTIONS

To Expose Screens
Equipment needed:

• Coating Trough
• Photosensitive Emulsion
• Silk-Screens
• Mercury Vapour Lamp
• Table with Glass Top
• Sponge
• Sheet of Wood

Coating of Screens.

Use the following method for coating the screen with photosensitive emulsion:
Apply two coats on the printing side first and then two coats on the squeegee side.
Lay the screen on four blocks with the printing side down. Dry with a fan.

Exposing of Screens

The distance from the glass to the light must be approximately 1 metre.
After exposing screen for 8 to 12 minutes, wash out with cold, low-pressure water.
(Shower nozzle attachment). Dry in front of a fan.
When dry, leave in the sun for a further 30 minutes to harden emulsion properly.
